People with disability who are interested in social media, digital content, administration, marketing or building confidence with technology are being invited to join Flagstaff’s new FREE Digital Skills Activation Hub course, starting this July.

The 10 week program gives people with disability the opportunity to learn practical digital and workplace skills while working towards credits for a certificate qualification. The Hub has been designed to support people with disability to take the next step towards employment, further learning, volunteering or greater community participation whilst learning valuable skills.

Running two days per week, the program combines structured learning with hands on experience. One day each week will focus on building new skills, while the second day will give participants the chance to put those skills into practice through Flagstaff’s Power Up project.

Participants will learn how to create digital content, design in Canva, build workplace skills and gain real experience in a supportive, inclusive environment. The program is ideal for people who want to explore creative digital work, develop confidence using technology, or strengthen their skills for future employment pathways.

Flagstaff’s Digital Skills Activation Hub has been created in partnership with Kiama Community College, bringing together practical training, real world experience and tailored support for people with disability.

Supports for eligible participants are funded through their NDIS plan.

Flagstaff is seeking expressions of interest from people with disability who would like to join the July intake.
