Flagstaff was delighted to host 27 young participants to go on a one-day 4WD and camping experience over the Spring Holiday Break.
The experience was to promote team building, problem-solving, and resilience in a fun and “real life” environment and involved a 7-hour camping day near Yalwal.
The group enjoyed some bush activities as many of them had never experienced camping before. Activities included: setting up a campsite, lighting a campfire for cooking, learning to cook on a campfire yummy damper, four-wheel driving and basic vehicle care. Each group took a one-hour 4-wheel drive to MacKenzie’s Lookout via the Old Burrier Fire Trail.
The participants really enjoyed the experience and had lots of fun.
This Regional Youth Spring Holiday Break would not have been possible without the funding from the NSW Government. We thank the NSW Government for the opportunity.
