What is The Flagstaff Group? The Flagstaff Group is a leading social enterprise and NDIS-registered provider dedicated to providing meaningful employment, life skills, and vocational training for people with disabilities. Since 1966, we have focused on building independence and social inclusion through sustainable business operations.

Where is Flagstaff located?
Our main head office is in Unanderra (Wollongong), but we operate across multiple sites in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, and Macarthur regions, including North Nowra, Port Kembla, and Smeaton Grange.


Is Flagstaff a charity?
Yes, Flagstaff is a not-for-profit Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) and a registered charity. All profits are reinvested back into the organization to enhance our support programs and create more jobs for people with disabilities.

NDIS & Employment Services

What NDIS services do you provide? We offer a comprehensive range of NDIS-funded supports, including:

  • Supported Employment: Jobs across our various business divisions.

  • School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES): Helping students transition from school to work.

  • Life Choices: Programs focusing on life skills, cooking, literacy, and numeracy.

  • Social & Recreational: Activities like our “Supper Club” and fitness programs.

  • Support Coordination: Helping you navigate and maximize your NDIS plan.

Do you offer work experience for high school students? Yes. Our Vocational Pathways and Flagstaff Futures programs are specifically designed for students (aged 15-17) to gain real-world work experience in a supportive environment.

Business & Commercial Services

What commercial services does Flagstaff offer? We provide high-quality business-to-business services including:

  • Print, Mail & Digital: Commercial printing, braille, and mailing house services.

  • Commercial Laundry: Specialist linen and glove laundering services.

  • Paper to Paper: Secure document destruction and recycling (cardboard, paper, soft plastics).

  • Group Services: Grounds maintenance, commercial cleaning, and light manufacturing (bottling, assembly, and sewing).

Can I drop off recycling at your sites? Yes, we offer free drop-off for certain materials like paper and cardboard at our Paper to Paper sites. Please contact us for specific drop-off hours and accepted materials.

Inclusion & Training

What is the “Inclusion Tick of Approval”? This is part of our Disability Inclusion & Training (DID) division. It acknowledges that your organization has completed specific modules and audits to ensure you are “disability friendly” and accessible to both staff and customers.

 

Do you provide disability etiquette training for other businesses? Yes. We offer training modules designed to help businesses improve their customer service for people with disabilities and create more inclusive work environments.
