Cert 3 Group Fitness Qualification
Fitness is an important part of Courtney’s life. From school Cross Country and swimming carnivals to more recent soccer and bowling competitions, physical activity is part of this woman’s DNA.
Courtney, a current employee of Flagstaff’s Group Services division in the Shoalhaven has recently completed her Certificate III in Fitness. With the support of staff from Flagstaff’s Health, Fitness and Wellbeing team, Courtney was able to achieve one of her lifetime goals.
“Kiara from Flagstaff supported me with the online modules and test preparation during the course. I learnt about strengthening exercises, injury prevention and recovery as well as muscle types and bone names. Did you know there are 206 bones in the human body?”
Since completing her course, Courtney regularly helps Flagstaff instructors on Wednesday’s fitness class at North Nowra. She’s also not ashamed to admit that sit-ups are her favorite exercise, regularly reaching 100 sit-ups in a session. Road and trail runs are also on her list of favourite activities.
Courtney continues to build on her recent qualification, now undertaking a swimming instructor course with Swim Coaches Australia with the support of Flagstaff.
