Flagstaff’s Short Stays Away (STA) offering is designed to support your living and independence goals, giving you short-term, comprehensive support that differs from the everyday. Skill building, respite and increased independence are just some of the outcomes available. Capacity building trips are tailored to suit the individual.
Kinds of Stays
Everyone is different and so is our STA, offering overnights stays, a few days away, or just a day trip are just some of the options – no two offers are the same. Flagstaff services the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands areas focusing on stays in Sydney, along the NSW South Coast and ACT. Service support can generally cover (but is not limited to):
- Accommodation – you are supported to research, choose and book accommodation options suitable for their individual needs. Hotels, apartments, farm stays or camping are just some of the options available.
- Capacity building with face to face support.
- Food preparation – you are support in ‘non – typical’ settings that increase independence.
- Community access
- Negotiated activities – shopping, bushwalking, sporting and cultural events or you may enjoy adventure related activities – just some of the options available.
