Flagstaff supported employee stories: Laurinda Martin

Laurinda has worked for Flagstaff since 1999 and has mastered many different skills across Flagstaff's business divisions. Starting out with one day a week in Business Services and what is now the 'finishing' section of Flagstaff Print, Mail and Digital, Laurinda distinguished herself and impressed her colleagues by undertaking various tasks. From wrapping fuse wires, conducting mail-outs, preparing ColorBond samples and working in the Flagstaff Laundry, Laurinda continued tackling new challenges. At the annual company picnic in 2006, Laurinda told the CEO, Steve Beard, about her goal to work in an office environment.

After a brief trial period, she started answering calls and greeting visitors twice a week. Within a few years, Laurinda was responsible for several more duties and could be seen up to five days a week on reception desks across the Group. Having celebrated her twentieth year at The Flagstaff Group in 2019, everyone knows Laurinda and she's viewed as an invaluable team-member. Particularly to our Print, Mail and Digital team who grateful for her ability to proofread each unique Braille job that we complete - whether it be flyers, brochures, business cards or otherwise.
