In this role you will be directly involved with people with a disability delivering supports (either individually or in a group setting) aimed at enhancing employment opportunities, developing skills and promoting community inclusion. 

The Spiel

Apply your skills and experience to plan, facilitate and conduct support and training which directly assists in the development of life and employment skills.

Reporting to the Life Choices Manager and taking direction and guidance from Support Facilitators, your role will be to apply your skills and experience to plan, facilitate and conduct support and training which directly assists in the development of life and employment skills.

 About You:

• Motivated, a self-starter;

• Shared Ethos: You only see ability

• Able to provide (on commencement and at mandated intervals) a National Police Criminal History check no more than 3 months old;

• Able to provide (on commencement and at mandated intervals) a current Working with Children check and be willing to sign a Working with Children declaration;

• Current Drivers Licence and vehicle; and able to produce a driving record that demonstrates safe driving

• Hold or be immediately eligible, capable and willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate and the capacity & willingness to act as a workplace first aid officer (where requested and in receipt of the relevant Flagstaff allowance);

Some Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, facilitate and conduct support and training which directly assists in the development of life and employment skills and/or the achievement of vocational goals;

• Contribute to the collection and entry of supporting evidence as required for Government funding;

• Contribute to the development of training material which directly assists employees to maintain current employment, improve skills and/or increase social inclusion;

• Plan, facilitate and provide support to participants to access community and social activities;

• Liaise with stakeholders, including but not limited to; Flagstaff divisional managers, parents/carers and/or advocates and outside organisation representatives to ensure individualised support is provided to achieve vocational goals;

• Ensure that allocated work is scheduled, completed and documented accurately & within reasonable time frames;

• Maintain documentation, including filing, employee databases and workplace reports in a timely and accurate manner;

• Provide transport and supervision to students and participants as required;
