Project LEAP Graduates Officially Open the South East Gardens
The Flagstaff Group’s Project LEAP Program held a graduation ceremony for the current Shoalhaven participants on Wednesday 29th November. The event also marked the official opening of the South East Gardens, the project designed and completed by these participants during their time in the program.
The Project LEAP program runs for 2 hours per week over 5 weeks, and involves participants from local high schools working together to complete a project and work towards achieving a final outcome. This program is tailored for any students who would benefit from a project with set goals and a strong outcome-based focus, whilst developing independence, confidence, social and vocational skills.
This particular project involved 10 high-school students who worked to plan, design, and build the new South East Gardens at The Flagstaff Group’s Shoalhaven site. LEAP participants received their graduation certificates for completing the program. Flagstaff Life Choices participants from other programs put on a BBQ lunch for all graduates and guests.
Project LEAP is proudly supported by community partner Aster Group.
