Flagstaff Life Choices support facilitator Lindsey Crofts had an idea.  Her sister is good friends with Rob and Allen, who run the Corrimal RSL and Warilla Sports Club bistros.  She wondered if they would be willing to take on SLES participants for vocational training with the end goal of them being able to develop their hospitality skills as well as their social skills to be able to obtain open employment.

19 year old SLES (School Leaver Employment Support) participant Courtney Newbold had been training for a few weeks and has really shown her abilities.  Here is the moment Rob offers her a part-time job.

We would all like to see more inclusivity in our local businesses.  It certainly makes good economic sense.  If you are a business and would like to know how you can be more inclusive, check www.did.org.au
