Flagstaff Employment

Flagstaff Employment is located in Worrigee Street Nowra (just near the Fish Markets). We also have outreach sites in Ulladulla and Sanctuary Point for individuals who have limited access to transport.

At Flagstaff Employment, we run a service called Capped DEN (Disability Employment Network). Capped DEN is a specialised government funded employment programme focused on people with employment barriers, as well as injuries and conditions of a permanent nature. It has been designed to assist individuals who believe that due to their present circumstances they may need an extra hand looking for work, changing careers or staying in work. Examples of barriers are learning issues, intellectual disabilities, physical ailments such as diabetes, bad backs, painful injuries, or psychological barriers such as depression, schizophrenia and psychoses. There are a large number of barriers which may allow you to be eligible to gain DEN services and so if you are eligible why not take advantage of the higher level of support??

Capped DEN service providers have been in operation since 1986 and offer tailored one on one service to clients, working to address barriers to employment and attaining jobs matched to the individual.

In the Capped programme, job seekers are assisted for an extended period to find a job and receive ongoing support whilst employed. Workers are supported for at least 6 months after employment to ensure sustainable work. This can continue as long as required.

Flagstaff Employment are DSS accredited and have qualified workplace trainers and assessors on site. We work close with Centrelink, other government agencies, local services, schools, and TAFE whilst we also partner with community college and local employers.
